Part 5: A Guide to Advanced Ship Systems
So you're well on your way to being a great starship captain! Now to learn about a few Advanced systems you might run into as you progress into the game...
Laboratory (LAB)
Available at Ship level 3
- Allows research to Develop & Upgrade Missiles, Recruit Hero Crew (Beer), Lower Crew Level up Costs, Scan Enemy Ships for Starbux, Paint your Ship (Costs Starbuks), Increase your Max Number of Upgrades at one time (Costs Starbucks) as well as upgrade your "crafts" (you only gets crafts when you build a hanger at level 6)
ProTip: You can start research and then upgrade your lab! The research will continue and finish like normal as your lab upgrades!
Command Room (CMD)
Available at Ship level 4
- Allows you to edit the AI commands of your Ship and Crew! Writing custom AI (Artificial Intelligence) commands is one of the most cool and powerful things this game lets you do! We'll give you the basics of how it works in the next section!
ProTip: This room lets you edit commands.. but after your done editing you dont need to keep the room on your ship! Just drop it in whenever you want to edit a command, then remove it before you PvP!
Alliance Council (ALL)
Available at Ship level 4
-Allows you to join an alliance, borrow crew, and donate crew to your alliance! This room must stay on your ship as long as you stay a member of an alliance! We covered alliances earlier so we wont go into any depth here!
Teleporter (TLP)
Available at Ship level 5
-Allows you to teleport your crew to an enemy ship! This is a really powerful weapon! Learn more about how to use it in our teleporter guide!
Anti Craft Lazer (ACL)
Available at Ship level 5
-Allows your ship to shoot down enemy crafts launched by an enemy ships hanger! This weapon auto targets so you only need to write AI for when and how to power it!
Hangar (HAN)
Available at Ship level 6
-Allows your ship to build and launch crafts at enemy ships!
Pro Tip: According to the developers, if crew with the "Pilot" skill man this room it will launch crafts faster!
Plasma Cannon (CAN)
Available at Ship level 7
-A new weapon that works just like a mining laser. It's famous for how fast it fires (After you upgrade it a lot). Keep in mind it uses gas to fire! So remember to refill it every few battles!
Fusion Reactor (FRE)
Available at Ship level 8
-A New Reactor! This one is big and starts out giving only 3 power.. but as your ship gets bigger you will need all the power you can get! Built it and start upgrading it to plan for the future!
Medical (MD)
Available at Ship level 8
-A Medical Bay for your crew to heal in. This room recharges like a normal ship system and each cycle heals 1 HP to any crew member in the room!
