This guide will cover the basics of teleporter use using the Manual (click and drag) method and AI programing method. This guide is meant for newer players wondering how to use the teleporter room & people unsure how AI commands work.
----------------Manual Method----------------
**requirements for this to work correctly**
1) The teleporter is getting power and is charging up
2) The crew member you would like to teleport is able to walk to the teleporter room.
You Press and hold on the desired crew member and drag your finger to the large Double arrows to shift your view to the enemy ship. (Black Arrow to Red Arrow)
After the screen shifts, continue dragging your finger to the desired room you want to teleport too. (In the example below we are teleporting to the enemy’s teleporter room.. but you can pick any room)
Tip: Try to pick a room with 1 or less enemy crew in it, or you will quickly die on arrival.
----------------AI Programed Method----------------
**requirements for this to work correctly**
1) Your Ship has a command center (this room allows you to program AI commands)
2) The teleporter is getting power and is charging up during battle
3) The crew member you would like to teleport is able to walk to the teleporter room.
Open the AI screen for the crew member you’d like to teleport in battle. Click “Add New Command” you will be coping the basic command list in the example below (ill help with the first one). I will explain what these commands do and how they work later.
When you Click “Add New Command” you will see the “Condition” Tab open.. Remember all AI commands in pixel starships work with a “Condition” that leads to an “Action”. Let’s help you with our first command… Pick the condition “Enemy Ship HP < 25%” Then Click the “Action” Tab…
With the “Action” Tab now open, find the action “Target your Teleport.” You will need to use the double arrows to move to 2nd page of actions to find this command. Once your done, click “OK” and be sure to click “OK” again. Great if you did this correctly, you will see your first command on the list! Go ahead and copy the other 2 commands from my example. If your confused how these commands work keep reading!
*****Extra Help Understanding Commands*****
So Let me explain that first command we gave our crew member:
(The Condition) Are the Enemy Ship’s Hit points Less then 25% of it’s full life?
If they are then..
(The Action) Move to our ships teleporter room
*****Extra Extra… Help Understanding Commands*****
Still confused? Are you wondering why I made this the first command? That’s because the AI commands work like a checklist… I guess the last and best way to explain It to you, is to tell you a “story” about what the 3 commands we gave our crew member will make him "think" and do during a battle. (Sadly this is the best way to help you understand)
***Start of Battle***
(Your crew member asks himself) “Is the enemy ship under 25% health?” ...NO its 100%! ....So I will skip this command for now and check my next command!
“Does the Enemy Shield Room have more then 0 health?” ...YES! its Full health right now! ...OK so my Action is.. “Go to that Room!”.. So is there a way for me to go there? ...YES, ill use our teleporter!
*Your Crew member walks over to your teleporter and beams to Enemy Shield room*
*He then kills an enemy crew member in an epic firefight and destroys the shield room *
“Is the enemy ship under 25% health?” NO! its 45%
“Does the Enemy Shield Room have more then 0% health?” NO! It’s 0 Health!
“Does the Enemy Reactor have more then 0% health?” YES! One of them has 25% Health! OK so my Action is.. “Go to that Room!”... So is there a way for me to go there? YES! I can walk there..
*Your crew member starts walking to the enemy reactor*
“This is a really long wal... oh dang the enemy ship just fell under 25% health!”
*Your Crew member beams back to your teleporter room*
“Well this was my top command! No command under this one matters if this one is active!… I guess I’ll just stand here till the battle e...”
**End of Battle**
I hope that helped.
