I trained a crew twice (with 2 different 45 minute trainings). But it says "Training 1/70". And both trainings had the boots symbol bonus, yet I don't see a boots symbol stat. (I'm assuming that's a movement speed stat that's not displayed).
What is "Training 1/70"? Can you only train a total of 70 times? Should you wait until your gym is max level to train? Otherwise you're wasting valuable training (70) attempts with low level training bonuses.
Why is this not more clearly explained in-game?

I'm not 100% sure, but I heard that the only difference is the time you invest training. Higher lvl gym/routines only affect the time it takes to reach the maximun trainable benefits.

to my knowledge 1/70 is the number of times you are able to train a crew member, each time you train a crew it is not a 100% you will gain the stat improvement it a % chance that you will get it. also the higher level your gym and research fitness is will result in a bigger stat change if obtained

So it does not matter when you start training? It just affects the amount of resources you end up spending and time used? Each character can only be improved a certain amount? Does it matter what the stats are when you combine characters (i.e. Is it best to max training before combining)?
