Hello, thought i would try and do a breakdown of the various weapon types to illustrate a point i hope to make regarding manned rooms. As the bonus is percentage based it is in your best interest to allocate all the best weapon skill to your strongest room. Manning 2 vs 3 people represents a 50% dps difference! Have a look, any explanation needed and ill try to improve the layout. Basically what this shows is that if you equip 2 cannons and 2 lasers but do not man them with crew you have less dps than 2 fully manned cannons! The turret is garbage, avoid it at all costs!

Crew skill, ie crew has 20 weapon skill equates to a 20% cooldown.

i didn't know that we cannot increase hanger speed, only attack speed of the defender. This is interesting.

Actually, won't this allow infinite DPS? I can put 5 crews each reduce 20% in the hangar?

If they are doing the math correctly, 5 crew with 20% skill should take the room to 32.8% of the original charging time (or a 67.2% reduction), not 100%.
Is there any skill that improves the TLP? Even tried research, but no dice.

Turrets are not garbage. They are not very useful, but they they are quite effective in power-to-DPS ratio, and they will add to your gunship's total DPS. Especially if you have 2 turrets firing at once
