Part 1: A Guide to Your Account and Your Ship
Your Account
When you started the game, your device was given a guest account which automatically logged in and allowed to play a tutorial. The game will recognize your device and match you up with your guest account when you log in... But errors do happen.. So it’s a VERY smart idea to register a real account ASAP!
To Register your account: click the Hammer icon pictured below:
click register and select an email and password.. Be sure to remember it! You won’t be able to change it without interacting with tech support!
To Restart your game: If you're unhappy for whatever reason and want to restart the game with a new type of ship, click the hammer icon and select the "new account" option pictured below:
You will have had to register first before this option is offered to you!
The Different Ship Types
Other than layout space & visual style, the type of ship you have makes no difference during current gameplay! No special abilities, weapons, or unique rooms. Here's what your ship would look like at ship lvl 9 and some basic information about each type. (the level 10 pictures are posted in the news section)
(The icons represent the 3 types of ship you can play as, Pirate, Federation, Qtarian)
Pirate Ships - Horizontal Ships (Long, Thin) They have a bit less room then the other two types of ships, however their layout allows you to utilize the space provided to its maximum potential and allows straight forward ship designs. ( Level 10 = 194 Grids)
Federation Ships – Square Ships, The Federation is the middle ground between the two other ships, their design and grid space falls between the other two ships specifications. ( Level 10 = 196 Grids)
Qtarian Ships – Vertical Ships (Tall, Skinny) They have multiple nicknames including Alien, Golem & Squid. They have the most total grid space compared to the other two ships, however their layout requires careful planning to utilize the space provided. ( Level 10 = 204 Grids)
(There is also a UFO ship type given to backers, if you’re interested in seeing it and learning about what backers are, click this link!)
Planning Your Ship Design and Upgrades
Rather than tell you how to design your ship (it’s fun to do it yourself) We’ll give you some useful tips to keep in mind.
- During combat your crew can walk around the ship. (click and drag them during a battle) If they are in a weapon or shield room, they will increase the recharge speed of that equipment!
- During combat your crew can repair damaged rooms, so it’s a smart idea to keep the rooms you might need to repair lined up close by so your crew can walk to them. (Alternatively you can build a lift to connect 2 or more floors of your ship.)
- Your “Bridge” gives you a percentage chance to escape battles & the bridge also blocks a percentage of enemy escape! but your just starting out.. so no one is running away from you just yet. Some people leave the bridge off their ship to save space.
- Your “Engine” gives you a percentage chance to dodge missiles. But missiles are not that common or dangerous in lower level ship battles. Also the dodge percentage is pretty low AND the room requires 3 power to operate at top efficiency. You can leave it off your ship until you get allot more space and power .
- Try to upgrade your generators, resource storage rooms and bedrooms first. (When you upgrade weapons or shields, they will NOT WORK until the upgrade finishes.)
- Don’t rush your ship levels before upgrading your ships systems! PVP battles match you with similar level ships… You don’t want to end up fighting people with 2 or 3 levels more of weapon and shield upgrades! This will make it very hard for you to gather resources.. Rushing will end up slowing your progress down!
- Higher level ships don’t heal as fast after a loss! lvl 8 and higher ships take more than an hour to recharge their full health!
- Don’t spend starbucks on rushing upgrades! The best use for starbucks is first buying your 3rd and 4th upgrade slot... then from then buying better crew! (see the next section about crew)
